Caroline and Nicky’s wedding at The Broadmoor’s Cheyenne Mountain Lodge in Colorado Springs brought a garden into the ballroom. Walls of windows fill the room with light, and an overhead installation of greenery and white blooms floats above the dance floor. Ivory florals, cane-back chairs, amber glassware, and candlelight at every table soften the formality of the space without losing any of its polish.

A hotel ballroom gives you a beautiful frame, but it can look like every other wedding held there. Here, the design took the room further, with pieces built for this couple that couldn’t have come from the venue’s standard offerings. It’s what we love about design at this level: the space becomes yours.
